Every summer since 2018, The Rock Orchestra has presented
BEATLEFEST, a weeklong celebration of the music of The Beatles. This year, we're presenting the same festival that everyone loves, but under a new name...ALL TOGETHER NOW.
Usually presented over six nights, TRO performs ALL 215 songs by The Beatles in chronological order. From the early days of "Please Please Me" and "A Hard Day's Night", winding through the psychedelic genius of "Revolver" and "Sgt. Pepper,.." to the mature songwriting of "Abbey Road" and "Let It Be", you'll hear every album, and every single.
With a 7-piece core band augmented by a 9-piece horn section, a string octet, an Indian ensemble and a host of special guests, All Together Now is the only one of its kind in the world.
This isn't a costumed show, as the musicians aren't trying to BE the Beatles, but instead focusing all their attention to faithfully reproducing the music as precisely as possible to bring these timeless classics to life.
In 2018, 2019 and 2021 BeatleFest was performed at The Wilmington Drama League in Wilmington, Delaware. In 2020 (due to the COVID-19 pandemic) TRO presented an outdoor production of the Red & Blue compilation albums in lieu of our annual festival. In 2022 we brought it to the wonderful World Cafe Live in Philadelphia.
For 2023, we're thrilled to bring the festival back to Delaware in a new home...Delaware Theater Company! Night 1 kicks off on Monday, August 14 and runs through Saturday, August 19.
